PILATES

Pilates is a holistic exercise system developed in the early 1900’s by Joseph Pilates. It is designed to improve quality of movement by stretching, strengthening and restoring the body’s natural ‘balance’.

It integrates both the mind and body through developing body awareness and postural control.

Pilates is so much more than just developing ‘core muscles’. It incorporates a whole body approach to exercise and complements sporting and recreational activities for all ages and all abilities.
