Richard started his massage training in 2002 getting VTCT Diplomas in Body Massage, Anatomy and physiology. He then went on to study at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) & is now an active member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA). He subsequently furthered his training in 2008 on completion of a Masters Degree in Sports Therapy at the University of Kent.

Richard has been a keen triathlete competing at all distances up to Ironman. He was National Age Group champion and competed for GB twice in the late 90's in Cancun, Mexico & in Cleveland, USA & was a top ten finisher in the British Long Course Championships in Wolverhampton. He also raced recently in the Nice Ironman in 2013.
